The mission statement of the Conservation District is “To conserve and promote the best use of the natural resources of the county by encouraging the use of Best Management Practices, district involvement with land use policy decisions, public awareness and education.” The Rowan County Soil Conservation District fulfills this mission statement by administering several programs for the farmers and citizens of Rowan County.
