Christmas Decorating Contest

Welcome to the 5th Annual Rowan County Christmas Decorating Contest, sponsored by Commonwealth Cooperage. These contests have been so well received over the past few years, and we enjoyed it so much that we wanted to keep up the tradition. We hope that this may provide a little bit of Christmas cheer and some friendly competition for the people of Rowan County.

Special thanks to Independent Stave Company for sponsoring this event! We are very lucky to have a community minded business like ISC right here in Rowan County. You may remember that they donated $200,000 to build a state-of-the-art recreational area at the new Harry T. Clark Community Park, which we are working on now!

There are two categories in which to enter: Business and Residential. Each category has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with prizes up to $350! Details are below.

• 1st Place: $350 Visa Gift Card

• 2nd Place: $250 Visa Gift Card

• 3rd Place: $150 Visa Gift Card

Entering is easy:

• Submit a photo of your decorations below. If you have multiple photos, you must combine them before submitting.

• One submission per household or business will be permitted.

• Entries must be submitted no later than December 21st at Midnight.

• From the 22nd to the 24th, photos will be posted on our Facebook page where you can vote by "Liking" your favorite setup.

• Winners will be announced on Christmas Day!
