Order Limiting Foot Traffic at Lockegee Rock Trail
EFFECTIVE DATE 4.4.2020
WHEREAS, on March 6, 2020, Governor Andy Beshear has declared that a state of emergency exists within the Commonwealth of Kentucky due to the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2020, I, Rowan County Judge-Executive Harry T. Clark, have declared that a state of emergency exists within the County of Rowan, Kentucky due to the outbreak of this deadly virus; and
WHEREAS, the Rowan County Government is charged with the duty of protecting the health, safety, and general wellbeing of the citizens of Rowan County;
NOW THEREFORE, I, Harry T. Clark, Rowan County Judge-Executive, by the authority vested in me under KRS 39A, KRS 39B, as well as pertinent and accompanying statutes and regulations do hereby implement the following directives within Rowan County to protect the citizens of Rowan County and their neighboring citizenries:
1. Foot traffic on the trails leading to Lockegee Rock, and in the area within a 1/4 mile radius of said landmark is strictly prohibited.
This order will terminate upon such time it is declared that a state of emergency no longer exists within the Commonwealth of Kentucky or the County of Rowan, Kentucky due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
