Operation Gateway is Ready to Launch

Operation Gateway is ready to launch. This Medical Mission is a Department of Defense service operation to provide free general medical, dental, and optometry services to approximately 1,800 uninsured or underinsured Kentuckians on a first-come, first-served basis. Commencing in Rowan County, this no-cost medical service will be sited at the Laughlin Health Building on the campus of Morehead State University.

Operation Gateway offers these highly qualified and experienced doctors an opportunity to actively harness mobilization skills, a vital asset to the military, as well as offering much needed medical care to citizens of Gateway Area Development District (GAAD)’s five-county service region: Bath, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, and Rowan.

The eight days of first-come, first-served patient care located at the Laughlin Health Building will be from July 12 to July 19, 2021, with hours 8AM to 4PM on most of these days. A community resource fair will also be available with informational booths on other amenities, events, programs, and services for local residents.
