Broadband is coming to Rowan County! Windstream has an ongoing internal fiber upgrade that will open the door to Gig-speed services for an estimated 8,200 locations in Rowan and Morehead, with expected completion dates early next year. In the second phase of this project, we will bring broadband to over 4,100 additional homes in Rowan County with a $4.9 million dollar grant from the Kentucky Broadband Deployment Fund if approved. Read about this monumental announcement, see the winners of this year’s annual Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce Awards, and more in this month’s edition of the Rowan Review.
