Kentucky Coroner’s Association Held Training in Rowan
We were thrilled to welcome the Kentucky Coroner's Association to our beautiful Rowan County for an exciting in-service training opportunity. Per Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS), it is mandatory for Coroners and their Deputies to attend 18 hours of in-service training each year. The KY Dept of Criminal Justice Training hosted this certified training session, providing valuable knowledge and skills to enhance these vital roles in the community.
We extend a warm invitation to the following counties who were in attendance: Fayette, Montgomery, Knott, Pendleton, Fleming, Pike, Rowan, Campbell, Pulaski, Madison, Clay, Bracken, Lewis, Owsley, Greenup, Mason, Boyd, Wayne, Johnson, Breathitt, Floyd, Lee, Scott, Morgan, Bell, Taylor, Estill, Magoffin, Wolfe, Menifee, Carter, Grant, Robertson, Livingston, Harrison, and Elliott.
This in-service training was an excellent opportunity to network, learn from experienced professionals, and strengthen abilities to serve our communities effectively. The program covered various topics pertinent to their roles, ensuring they stay updated with the latest practices and regulations.
This training helped members of the Kentucky Coroner's Association to enhance knowledge, develop new skills, and foster collaboration among these dedicated professionals. Commitment to public service requires continuous learning and improvement, and this training opportunity was a valuable investment in our shared mission. We are excited that the association chose Rowan County as the venue for this valuable training, and we hope their time with us was both educational and enjoyable.
