Rowan Countians Come Together for Donation Drive for Southeastern KY Flooding
Before the floodwaters had even begun to recede, we received countless communications and calls from Rowan Countians asking how they can help to alleviate some of the hardships being experienced by our fellow Kentuckians in the southeast. We know that when we band together as a community, we can achieve things far greater than any of us can accomplish on our own.
In addition to the fire and rescue and road maintenance resources and crews we have sent and will be sending, we will also be collecting essential supplies in cooperation with the Rowan County Detention Center and Jailer Wes Coldiron.
After conversing with some of the folks on site, urgent needs have been identified as:
Bleach
Buckets
Brooms
Dish Soap
Mops
Other Cleaning Supplies
Pet food
We are asking the public to drop off goods at the Detention Center (1075 S. Tolliver Road) between 8 AM and 4 PM. Below is a more comprehensive list of items we will be taking.
